This morning I was teaching Mindfulness at a school and before I started the session I was thinking about what Mindfulness does for me.
I realised that it makes my lifestyle possible. I LOVE to work hard but I also LOVE to play hard. I pride myself in being successful and doing well in my work but I would absolutely HATE to sacrifice my free time and enjoyment of other things because of it.
It is SO important to me to make the most of every minute and Mindfulness and Meditation allows me to do this.
By giving myself about 10 minutes a day to Meditate I LOVE life so much more! And I fit so much more in. I also get enough rest to allow me to do everything I want to do.
So if you are a busy person don’t think that you can’t sit to Meditate – choose to do it as an investment. One short Meditation can mean the difference between a productive day and a frustratingly distracted day.
Meditation can be SUPER SIMPLE.
Set a timer for perhaps 5 minutes…
Sit with you back straight.
Close your eyes.
Notice the rising and falling that comes with your breath.
Feel more relaxation each time your body breathes out.
When your timer goes off add some movement to your body and see how much better you feel!
Then get on and enjoy your calm and focussed day!
