This morning Noah and I set out for a ride on the horses at about half past 7. The sun was shining, the sky was blue and it was beautiful.
There is a gateway up the road that is usually our turning point. Today we stopped when we got there and looked over the gate for a few minutes.
We played a game of ‘What can we see’, taking it in turn to name things that we could see over the gate. We noticed houses in the distance, trees, hedges and then tiny things too like leaves, blades of grass, stones.
Playing the game was great because it really brought us into the moment.
Being mindful really is this simple. Taking the time to stop, look, listen and enjoy the moment is all you need to do.
Give it a go today. It doesn’t matter where you are or what your view is of, you will always see new things when you take the time to really look.
Every day seems a little bit better when you manage to fit a few moments of mindfulness in. Come on a Revitalise Day to get more tips for living mindfully.
