Today time really flew.
Having got Noah ready for school and myself ready for a medical appointment, I visited a friend in hospital, met another friend for coffee, did the shopping and then got ready for work.
Had it not been for Mindfulness I think I would have been exhausted and in a bit of a Tiz. As it is I have time for a quick blog before work and I still feel full of beans. Amazing.
So in-between my packed out diary I managed quite a few minutes of Mindfulness.
I had a slow cuppa with my Mum this am which I took the time to really enjoy.
I drove to hospital without my radio on and simply enjoyed focussing on the drive. The sunshine was amazing and everywhere looked beautiful.
I had a Mindful wait in the waiting room for my appointment where I focussed on my breath for a few minutes and this was repeated again as I waited to be able to see my friend.
I really listened to my friend when I saw her and enjoyed her company to the full.
I had a great catch up with another friend where we were both so interested in each others news.
Finally doing the shop was a chance just to focus on what I was actually doing again. Amazingly my mind was not distracted by the fact I had to start work soon.
The thing I love most about Mindfulness is that it fits into everyday life. It is by no means all about sitting still. Everything can be done Mindfully.
To give this a try just really focus on whatever you are doing and appreciate any moments of still and calm.
The more you remember the more Mindful you will become. Perfect!
