When life starts to get too much, having a reset button for yourself is amazing.
This week I totally needed it and on Monday I made full use of that ability to reset. It gave me the enthusiasm and energy that I needed for the rest of the week.
Everything was fine but things were just busy. Martyn has been away so everything at home has been down to me. I had a couple of late nights and knew I would benefit from more sleep. I had changes going on at work and lots of thoughts going on in relation to that too.
So how did I reset?
I took the time to have an extra long chill out session. I booked Mum and I onto a Yoga and Meditation session that was an hour and a half. It was perfect.
We spent an hour on the Yoga which was restorative rather than too strenuous. We started with some breathing exercises and then moved onto stretches, strength work and balance. This really allowed by mind to slow down as I focussed on my body.
Then we had a good 30 Minute relaxation which involved us lying on the floor and focussing on relaxing body parts.
By the end of the session I felt so peaceful. My Mind and my body were so quiet, connected and content.
I had the best nights sleep after this session. It really was just what I needed.
