Mindfulness isn’t all about Meditating. Being Mindful in everyday life can help in so many ways. Managing to fit exercise into your day can be difficult when you are busy, setting the time aside can seem a real challenge.
By introducing Mindfulness to your everyday routine you can make exercise part of your normal activities.
Climbing stairs Mindfully is a great way to be more mindful and to work out – what a time saver!
Make this change today by following these simple steps (no pun intended!)…
Put a post it note, or an object, to remind you to be Mindful at the bottom of the stairs.
Each time you intend to climb the stairs take a pause.
Stand still, feel your feet routed to the ground, notice the energy flowing up from the ground through your legs.
Switch all of your muscles on, through your legs and into your bottom. Notice your core switch on too.
Then begin your climb.
An aware ness of the muscles in your legs and bottom will mean that you use these muscles fully as you climb. By taking the time to connect your body and mind you are coming back to the present moment.
Engaging all of the muscles properly before you start your climb will mean that you will get a work out too. Perfect!
