Today we were busy packing our house up ready to move!
Very exciting but also quite stressful. The situation was made worse for a short time by Noah and his cousin squabbling downstairs.
When Noah let out an enormously loud and exaggerated cry Martyn, my husband, was ready to shout. I blocked his path and forced him to stop and take a few deep breaths.
After a pause I said I would sort it. As I predicted when I went downstairs it was something and nothing. They were best friends again 2 minutes later!
Sometimes we forget that the most simple way to make sure we react in the best way is to take a few deep breaths. It only takes a second but it makes all the difference!
Next time you find yourself driven to the point of shouting try and take a few deep breaths instead. It gives you just enough time to think clearly.
