Today at work out IT systems went wrong. Everything went super S L O W and it could have seemed really quite frustrating. I had a number of emails I really needed to send off and lots of work piling up.
I could have shouted at the computer, I could have got all tense and annoyed. But what good would it have done me to get in a frenzy about it all?!
So I used one of my favourite mindfulness tricks. I swapped from my inside world of frustration to the outside world!
Today from my window our garden looks beautiful. The sun is shining, the birds are singing and all is peaceful!
By changing my focus to the outside I enjoyed some real tranquility, it was a treat. I settled my mind and a big smile read across my face. Perfect.
When you next encounter a problem in life that feels all consuming then try swapping to the outside world. By changing your focus you can give yourself some real relief.
