This morning I was SO SLUGGISH!
If I’m honest it made me really fed up. I set about my jobs at the stables very slowly and my thoughts were all worries about why I felt so lethargic.
But then I got back, had a coffee and did my Meditation.
And then I had an AMAZING day. My energy had resurfaced.
What I love about meditation is that whist you are sitting and giving your body a break you are giving your brain time to get into focus. This morning my meditation helped my brain into gear so that I could function really well rather than at half pace.
I sat and tuned in to my breath.
I noticed the rising and falling sensation in my tummy. Then I started to count my breathing from 1 to 10. Not altering my breath but just counting it as it happened.
Having committed to doing this for 10 minutes, I stuck with it despite my anxious and wandering mind.
And by the end I felt so much better.
I find that on days when I am anxious, adding the counting in is great for keeping me engaged with the exercise. It is something I can work on and commit to.
So if you wake up to a challenging morning then try this exercise to help you start the day in a better state of mind. You will be amazed at how you can turn things around.
