Today I was having a text conversation with my friend. She was a bit stressed about a work meeting and she was asking for a way to say mindful and calm.
I suggested a little trick that I find works really well, and if you are entering into a situation that you are aware may test your ability to stay calm you could try this…
Find a little pebble, one that feels nice to the touch.
Pop it in your pocket.
Each time you find yourself being taken away form the moment with worries or anxious thoughts take your attention back to the pebble in your pocket.
This is a great tool because it is so simple. No one needs to know you have the pebble – it is your personal Mindfulness tool!
