A fully funded service worth £4000 is available to Leicestershire businesses keen to increase productivity and reduce employee ill health costs.
The Healthy Workplace Programme is accessible for companies in the county employing less than 250 staff.
Over the past three years the programme, which is delivered by The Fit For Work Team and funded by Leicestershire County Council, has helped more than 80 local businesses enhance their business reputation, retain their most talented staff, and save up to £40,000 by focussing on health promotion in the workplace.
Label printing firm Label Apeel, based near Blaby, has taken part in the scheme. Owner, Stuart Kellock said: “We saw significant improvements in terms of employee engagement, and reduction in sick days.
“We now have hours lost to illness down to below one per cent of all worked hours. Our staff turnover is very low and 94% of people are satisfied with their jobs”
