Today I went to a family funeral. It got me thinking about how amazing life is and how we should all be thankful for every single moment that we get together.
My family teamed together for today. We all supported each other through a difficult time and we made sure everyone was ok.
Relationships really are what life is all about. Without friends and family our perspective on life would be totally different.
Mindfulness is really based on appreciation. Appreciation of how things are and of our relationships in the here and now is so important. Remembering to be thankful for those around us means that we really can take the time to enjoy life and everyone in it.
Stopping every now and then and noticing how things are in that moment also allows us time to let our minds rest, our thoughts slow and our bodies recharge. It really is a valuable thing to do. And best of all it means we give more to our relationships too.
