This morning I had a telephone appointment with a nurse about some of my MS symptoms. It is a routine things and we always have a good chat through all the things that impact on me day to day.
The best thing that this appointment does for me is to make me remember that there are options. She reminds me that things are always changing and that things that are bothering me today might not be there next week. She puts things into perspective without trivialising them.
I think this approach could is great for everything in life.
Mindfulness is a great way to stay open minded, see our options and to appreciate the bigger picture.
As I sit to Meditate all of the small niggley thoughts settle and I start to see the bigger picture. I become more open to alternatives.
If you find that you get bogged down in the small things then Mindfulness and Meditation could be for you.
Keep it simple if you want to have a go. Sit up straight, close your eyes and just wait for your thoughts to slow down.
Enjoy the stillness and the peace that you have created. And remember you can recreate this any time you want!
