This morning Noah and I got creative with Play Doh.
We made a tea set, we were very pleased with our work. Then we squashed it all together and put back in the pots.
It got me thinking, after all that time being so careful and creative did it matter that we then just squashed it all!?
Not at all. We got on with our next activity…Yoga!
Actually I found it really refreshing and relaxing focusing on what we were doing. We were really mindful. Living just for that moment and allowing the creativity to flow without worrying about the future. There were no pressures, no one to show it to, it wasn’t a competition. it was just for fun and it was fun.
As grown ups we often forget to do things that are just for fun. Life becomes serious and there is always something to create and something to achieve.
Mindfulness meditation is a great way to give yourself some time off from the pressures of our world. When we sit to meditate we really can learn to just enjoy it for what it is. No pressure, no competition. It is just for us to enjoy in there here and now. Perfect.
