Yesterday Noah and I were invited to the wedding of some really lovely friends. We had a great day. The children who were at the wedding went home at 7pm and Noah was picked up by his grandparents for a sleep over. So this morning I woke to a quiet house!
I stayed on for the wedding party. I had an amazing time, both last night, and then this morning too.
When I woke I was a bit restless. I had Jobs on my mind and a real longing to go and fetch Noah. I am not used to waking up without him at home! But the arrangement was that he would ring me when he was ready to be collected.
Because I was waiting for his call I didn’t want to go out running or riding, which would have been my usual choice if I had some free time.
So I settled down to do a Meditation.
I sat for abut 40 Minutes.
At first my mind was busy thinking I should be writing my blog / putting a wash on / cleaning. So I paused, enjoyed my cup of tea, read a few pages of my yoga book and then went back to it.
I put some Meditation music on and had the best session. I loved it.
I felt so calm and peaceful that by the time Noah called I could enjoy the moment fully.
Meditation really does stop me wasting time worrying. After I had done it I enjoyed a really relaxing day, my mind was settled and I totally chilled out. I just Love it.
