About a month ago my lovely friend Hannah and I were talking about how busy things were getting on the lead up to christmas. Looking in our diaries we could see that the weekends were filling up! So to make sure we spent some time together we decided to book a Sunday afternoon out, just for us!
So last Sunday was our Sunday! The sun came out and we set off on a big walk, some money in our pockets for a pub stop or two! Perfect!
We both absolutely loved it. We walked and chatted and enjoyed the sunshine and the stunning autumnal colours that surrounded us. Every now and then we stopped to look at the amazing scenery.
The best thing was that we walked from home so we were appreciating everything that was right on our doorstep. Despite this we felt like we were on holiday.
So often we forget to appreciate all that we have around us. Having an amazing friend and beautiful scenery so easily available to me made me feel really lucky and very happy. Have a think about the positives in your life, once you start to notice them you will feel more positive about everything.
Being mindful means being in the moment. Being in the moment makes you happy. Stopping and noticing what is surrounding you is a great way to be present in the moment. Make sure you safeguard some of your time so that you have time to appreciate the moment more often.
Come on a Revitalise Day to see how you could appreciate your life even more with mindfulness.
