Today I watched a film. A whole film. In the afternoon. I LOVED it.
I NEVER watch films, well not on my own, in the daytime. But today it was my Mindful challenge.
I am a very busy person with a very busy mind. I am always on the go and always getting jobs done. So to just sit and enjoy watching a film really was quite a challenge for me.
I decided I was going to do it yesterday, it was a plan I had in mind. I saw my friend Anna and she was telling me about the film. A Rom Com. Very silly, but totally lovely. So my mind was made up.
I really enjoyed it. “How to Loose a Guy in 10 days’. It took my attention and gave me some real time out. I focussed on the film and forgot about everything else. Perfect.
If you struggle to sit still then setting yourself a mindful challenge could be a great way to train yourself. Try to do something that doesn’t come naturally and it may have massive benefits for you. Just experiencing a different way of behaving is great. It opens up options.
We all need some lazy time in our day, see how you could best be lazy in a different way today!
