Today I created some headspace.
Noah has had a spot on his epiglottis for a couple of months. I took him to see the nurse to get it checked out and was told it was a virus and that it would go on its own.
Over the last week it has been niggling me that it was still there and so yesterday I decided to make another appointment but this time with the Doctor. I just wanted to be sure we weren’t ignoring a real problem.
Today when we went the doctor told us it wan’t a virus and that it was a cyst. She is going to refer him to get it checked out.
I am SO glad I took him.
I think health niggles are one of the biggest causes of mental chatter. Worries of ‘what if’ can be terrible…and very stressful. They can go round and round your head like a stuck record.
Mindfulness and Meditation can really help us to clear our minds and to see things clearly. Once you get to know your own mind you can recognise more easily when thoughts are troubling you.
Rather than letting worries take over sometimes a practical approach can sort things out.
When you think something may be wrong then why not get it checked. Find out if something is wrong. Clear that worry – then you can move on and enjoy more peace of mind.
