The biggest challenge that Mindfulness holds for all of us is commitment. Making time to do it every day can be really tough.
We all fall in and out of routines. For a while we may be convinced that a new fitness class is the best thing EVER or that a diet is really going to change how we look… And then a year later we look back and it is a distant memory of something we used to do.
Mindfulness and Meditation can easily be the same. But if you can find the commitment to stick with it you really will see more and more benefits as time goes on.
Here are a few tips to help you to stick with your Meditation habit for life!
1) Sit as often as you can but DO NOT beat yourself up if you don’t manage it one day. Instead when you get to the end of the day brush you teeth Mindfully. Commit to sitting still for the whole 2 minutes that you brush and focus on brushing each tooth in turn.
2) On the days that you do manage to sit for Meditation make sure you take a moment at the end of your Meditation to really appreciate how much better you feel.
3) Every now and then book onto a face to face session with a Meditation coach. This will keep your interest going and let you learn new techniques and pick up on tips from others which may help our practise.
