Today I had some early morning meetings to discuss providing more free Mindfulness in the community.
During the meetings I got some really lovely feedback about the way people are continuing with their Mindfulness following on from my previous sessions. I was delighted.
Most people seem to love the state of relaxation that they experience in my sessions. Remembering to do this for themselves can be a bit more tricky.
So here are my top tips for making the habit stick….
1) Keep it short and do it often. A 2 minutes meditation is SO much better then not doing it. Just sit still and focus on your breath.
2) Talk about it. By telling others about your habit and how much you love it you keep yourself motivated.
3) Keep it simple. By keeping the exercise easy you take away pressure. Trying too hard is a really common problem. Just take it as it comes. There is no correct way to Meditate. If you feel a bit calmer afterwards then you have done it right!
