If you think you have too many thoughts to Meditate then think again!
One of the most common reasons people think they are unable to Meditate is because their minds are too busy. Actually having a busy mind is totally normal and is the best possible reason to get into meditation.
If you struggle with thoughts bombarding you when you try to Meditate then this little exercise may suit you…
Sit up straight and put your feet flat on the floor and your hands on your lap.
Close your eyes.
Now – look for thoughts. So you are alert and aware but relaxed. You are paying attention to your mind. You are noticing any thoughts that come your way.
If your mind gets lost in thought then bring it back to the moment – then back to spotting any thoughts that come your way.
By allowing your mind to look for distraction you actually put it in a great state to experience a bit more headspace. You will be amazed how your thoughts disappear when you are looking for them!
