Today I had just finished work and my lovely friend Gosia called round with a big bag full of eating apples. They look so delicious!
She said she had lots on her tree and she knew we would love them. Noah and I were delighted. It was such a nice surprise and it got me thinking about what a difference small gestures can make to someone else’s day.
When you do something for someone else it stops you worrying about your own problems, if only for a short time. What ever is going on for someone else your gesture is bound to create a few moments of happiness in their day.
When we are busy sometimes it seems easier not to bother, fitting in yet another job can seem impossible. At times like this finding a way to get a bit of headspace is really valuable. If you find it difficult to sit and meditate then doing something nice for someone else may be an alternative way to give you just the mental break you need.
Come on a Revitalise Day to get more inspiration for mindful living. It really could make a huge difference to the way you live your life. Revitalise Days are held in a beautiful farmhouse location and provide the perfect setting for getting some headspace in your life.
