Life has been hectic this week. Really lovely, but certainly hectic.
My sister and her family are staying from Australia and we have been out and about lots, making the most of having them here. We have had big family meals every night and everyone is getting gradually more worn out!
Yesterday in the middle of the dinner preparation I decided to nip off and do a 10 minute meditation. It was nothing complicated but just a few minutes for me. A chance to Just Be.
Never mind that I could hear the chatter going on in the other rooms as I sat with my eyes closed. It didn’t matter. That 10 minutes was so valuable. It really gave me the chance to still myself and to come back to being me.
I loved it and I was SO much more helpful when I returned to the kitchen.
It never ceases to amaze me how different I feel after dedicating 10 minutes to Just Being. Give it a try and see how you feel.
