I love to think about my intention. For every single thing we do there must be some intention and I love that. It really helps me to work things out and to make better decisions.
Sometimes it can take a while to realise what our intention was. Often we only think about it after the event.
When I was doing my meditation yesterday it came to me that my intention in meditating was self care but also care for Noah. Noah is nearly 5 and his understanding of my odd working patterns is amazing.
I work nights and it was a late one for me – right through the night.
So yesterday we meditated together. Our well being was at the forefront of my mind. We both needed to get some more sleep before we embarked on another busy week.
The calm and quiet of Meditation gave us the ability to get to sleep just when we wanted. AMAZING! Sleeping to order is never easy.
Taking my mind to my intention gave me the commitment to stick with the meditation even when my mind repeatedly wandered, even when it told me it wasn’t tired.
Whatever you need to achieve in life, whether it is rest, work or pleasure, then Mindfulness could help. Learning to work with your mind rather than against it is more simple than you might think.
Come on a Revitalise Session to see where it could get you.
