This weekend I am on one of my oldest and best friend’s hen do. The theme for Saturday afternoon is an 80s beach party.
So in a bit of an outfit dilemma I went onto amazing Amazon to see how they could help me out…
So the dress arrived yesterday, I tried it on for about 1 minute and knew I could not go to a hen party in it!!! I felt about 13 and it really didn’t look great.
The brilliant thing was I didn’t let it get me down. Here’s why…
1) We are all our own worst critics. I wasn’t happy how I looked but my Mum was there and she said it was OK. I know if I am being honest that I was being picky. It looked OK but I don’t want to look OK, I want to look and feel nice!
2) I recognised straight away that I didn’t feel great in it and wasted no more time on it. I put it straight back in the packaging, printed out a return label and took it the post office. Gone! No more thought given to something that wasn’t right!
3) I didn’t blow it out of proportion. I can get away with a few florescent accessories at the party. No one will mind, everyone is there for fun not fashion!
If you could do with getting some perspective on outfit issues book onto a Revitalise Session. When you start to see things clearly there will be far fewer dramas in your life!
