This morning I had some new cereal for my breakfast. Because I am gluten free I am always on the look out for a new cereal that is quick and easy.
The new one is just like Wheatabix but is made from a grain called Sorghum.
I really enjoyed it BUT THEN….
My tummy blew up! It went massive and it hurt!
I read some more about the grain and found out that is is very hard to digest. I had first hand experience!!
I have just had to wait for the bloating to go away. And it has taken all day.
I was really uncomfortable but thankfully Mindfulness gave me the coping tools.
I knew that the sensation was changing, I knew if i just waited it would pass. These are valuable lessons that Meditation teaches us time and time again.
Also every time my mind went to the pain I tried to focus on what was happening, then I could notice the change in the sensation – this gave mental relief too!
Mindfulness really is a skill that helps with everything, even Sorghum.
