This week my 9 year old nephew and I have been enthralled by Deezer. It is a brilliant website / App that allows you to listen to music for free. We LOVE it.
The great thing about it is that if you like a particular tune it suggests other music that you might like.
We have both been making playlists and generally listening to music a lot more than usual. It has been lovely and a great thing to do together.
The weather today has been sunny and hot and having the windows open and the music on has left me feeling really happy. Never mind the fact that I was working too!
It got me thinking that the music and the weather are both great mood influencers. Whilst we can’t change the weather we can use music to help us change our mood.
I do this often. If I set off for a run and feel lethargic then adding an upbeat tune can make all the difference.
If I feel stressed out then some Meditation music can be just the fix to get my mind back to a calm state.
Try adding some more music to your life. As you learn to recognise your mood, and notice it changing, you are in effect getting to know your own mind and learning to work with it rather than against it. Amazing!
