Decisions That Lead To Mindfulness

15th November 2015 by Alex Leave a Comment

This weekend Noah and I went out with my sisters family for Pizza at Peter Pizza in Loughborough. We had a lovely relaxed time.

Family Times

We always enjoy a trip to Peter and what makes it special for Noah is that he can have a pizza with Soya cheese on. Eating out is a real treat for him and because he doesn’t have dairy it can be a challenge. At Peter we can take a little pot of grated soya cheese and ask for it on a margarita, no hassle. Perfect.

Being on a health related diet can make it really difficult to eat out. Finding somewhere to accommodate you can be difficult. You really don’t want to ask a million questions before you order but when you know it really matters you just have to.

I feel that for Noah it is so important that there are lots of occasions where he can join in and eat out as a treat with the other children. Being part of a group makes him so happy and is really important. I really don’t want him to grow up thinking that he is missing out. Peter is a great option.

I almost always opt out of eating out when we go simply because I find the whole experience of making sure my food is fat free, dairy free, meat free, gluten free, legume free, almost impossible and far too much trouble and stress. My family worry that I am missing out but my decision usually gives me peace of mind.

Making decisions that you are happy with is the best way to remain mindful. Rather than causing myself stress and anxiety by getting in situations that make me uncomfortable, I would rather go and relax with a glass of red wine and enjoy the company. If I do order food then I get distracted by worry about my order. When you are out for a meal that is the last thing you want.

Mindful living is all about making lifestyle choices that keep your mind free from worry and guilt. Living in a way that means you are happy with your actions is so important if you are looking to reduce the stress and mental chatter that goes on in your mind.

Come on a Revitalise Day and spend some time reflecting on your life choices. They day is held in a beautiful and peaceful farmhouse and offers the perfect surroundings that allow your mind to unwind. The mix of mindfulness and meditation are sure to help you move on with more head space.
