This morning I went to see the horses and do my jobs and the cows were out in the next field.
The sound of their munching was quite loud. It had a steady calming rhythm. I stopped and looked for a couple of minutes, really taking in everything I could see and hear. It was such a calm experience. I loved it.
So I took a photo for the blog!
Just that 2 minute experience really gave me some extra calm this morning. The state of the cows totally impacted on me.
When something lovely like this happens in your world commit to using the scene that gives you calm throughout the day. This uses a natural moment of mindfulness and helps you to live more mindfully.
So today I will think of those cows and picture them there munching as often as I can. Each time I do I will be transported back to that lovey cow calm. If I come across some stress in my day I will take my attention back to the cow calm.
Mindfulness is all about getting to know your mind and working with it. Learning where to place your attention is at the heart of being more mindful. Using calm scenes that you come across is great way to do this. Give it a try!
