Even if you manage to start your day with a meditation it is quite possible that by the time you reach 11am you are frazzled by the morning that you have experienced. That happened to me today.
I was working well until our phone line decided to go dead. Whenever it rang and I tried to answer it was really crackly and once I had put the phone down the broadband disconnected for a period. It was so frustrating!
So I had a host of calls to try and sort it out and by the time I was able to start work again my mind was all of a muddle.
A coffee time chill out was very much needed.
If you find yourself getting in a tiz at any time of day try this for a quick fix…
Prepare a drink mindfully…
If it is a hot drink focus on your breath as the kettle boils.
If it is a cold drink feel the cool of the fridge on your face as you open the door.
Be open to smells and sounds coming into your awareness.
Drink the drink mindfully…
Sit down with your drink.
Sit upright so that your body reflects you intention to pay attention.
Look at your drink…appreciate the colour and texture.
Smell your drink.
Take a small sip and let the flavour soak into your taste buds.
Continue like this until you finish your drink.
Enjoy a moment of calm before you rush back to your day.
