This morning I got wrapped up warm and headed out in the cold bright morning to go for a ride.
I did my jobs at the stables and tacked Ladybird up and then we were ready to go. I was SO looking forward to a good gallop round the local farm estate.
However, it was not to be.
As we set off dow the road I could tell she was not right. She was stumbling a bit and I realised that she needed new shoes.
I cut my ride short and did a loop back towards home.
As I got back I felt a bit sad but then I had a mini moment of mindfulness. I was still out in the lovely bright sunshine, I had been on a little ride and it was lovely – even if it was short.
So I called the farrier and made a positive move to sort things out. Then I walked home with a smile on my face.
When things seem to go wrong it is easy to feel fed up and not see past it. A mini moment of mindfulness is often all you need to see things in perspective and to appreciate the positives again.
By building mini moments of mindfulness in to every day you can make sure that when something goes wrong you have the tools to handle it.
Learn to love Mindfulness and never let disappointment ruin your day again!
