Recently I have been LOVING a bit of bargain shopping.
I blogged a little while ago about how I was finding buying Christmas presents really difficult because I had trained myself to be more minimal.
Well, it seems a change is as good as a rest. Rather than spending lots of time searching and lots of money buying things that i’m not sure people really want, I have been buying inexpensive things that can’t really be wrong.
Whether it is food treats, pampering luxuries or simply useful things, I have been getting things that once I wouldn’t have thought of. Somehow they have just seemed right.
It struck me that bargain shopping can actually be really Mindful and that is perhaps why I am enjoying it.
Rather than endlessly planning and worrying about what I am going to get people, I have just gone shopping with an open mind and bought what I feel is right. It has totally been in the moment and when I happen to see it. I have loved it.
Trying a different approach to an old problem is so liberating. Why not open your mind to a new approach?
