This morning I have been looking after my sisters little girl…I ABSOLUTELY LOVED it.
I borrowed the baby carrier to make it easy and we had a lovely time together. She really made me appreciate the simple things.
As I ate my breakfast she was looking round for some. So I gave her tiny bits of rice cake, and the odd bit of jam!
As I drank my coffee she wanted some so I did her a water and she gulped it down.
Then I put my make up on. She loved looking at what I was doing in the mirror and seeing me tap the brush in the pot of powder.
Because I was being watched in every little move I made, it made me very aware of the moment, and I enjoyed everything more.
I tasted the food more, enjoyed my coffee more and even found doing my make up a nicer experience!
Being more aware does wonders for our happiness! Imagining that you are watching yourself is a great way to be more present, give it a try!
