This morning I tried to FaceTime my friend. She is a new mum so when she didn’t answer I left it, I thought she must be in the middle of some baby related situation! I remember when I had Noah that answering the phone became a real challenge – it became a lottery in terms of whether I could answer!
Then a while later I got a message explaining that she was in her baby massage class. I was really pleased for her because I knew it meant she was having a chill out rather than a struggle! It made me smile.
When I did baby massage I remember it being a really welcome quiet hour in my day. It really did relax both me and Noah. No matter what was going on in everyday life once we got to the session we both entered into the relaxation and enjoyed that time together.
Noah is 4 now and just about to start school. So much of his early years has flown by in a haze and I only have memories of some of it. Because I took the time out to go to baby massage I remember these times more clearly and with real fondness.
Our state of mind makes such a difference to how aware of the moment we are. If we rush through everyday without taking time to relax then it passes in a blur. If we can slow down and take some time out then the chances are we will value our time much more.
If you feel that you are on a never ending rollercoaster and that you lack those periods of time for yourself then Meditation could be just what you need. Book onto a Revitalise Session and see what a difference a quiet hour makes to your day.
