Today my Mum’s dog Beau had a limp. We all love Beau to bits and none of us could bear to see her in pain.
We all set about trying to find out what was wrong. I discovered that she had a little sore hole in the pad of her paw. It looked like maybe a thorn had gone in.
So a team effort began to get out anything that was in there. I went so far as to suck it to see if I could draw it out like a splinter! Mum had the tweezers and a magnifying glass. Dad held the dog who loved the cuddle. Charlotte got a bandage and put a poultice on.
So although it was sad that Beau was in discomfort we actually all got quite a lot of comfort from trying to sort her out!
It really reminded me how focusing all your effort on helping another makes all of your own worries fade away!
Mindfulness is all about focussing the mind where you choose. If you could do with some help getting your mind to do this then book onto a Revitalise Session and learn how.
