Today I had a super hectic day at work. It was as busy as always and I had non-work things on my mind too which made it more of a challenge.
I was also tired. Martyn got back from an 11 day trip to Sri Lanka late last night. Our lovely boy, Noah, was very excited to see his Daddy, so he came into our bedroom at 5.50am. Not what I needed!
When I finished work I was exhausted and heavy. I decided to take some time out before I got on with the evening. I set the timer on my phone for 10 Minutes and lay back with some gentle music playing.
I let my breathing fit the long slow beat of the music, my breath slowed and I had the most
revitalising break. It was just what I needed.
So I had a lovely evening after that. I made a vegetable curry for tea with Noah, I went to see our horses and gave them some fuss and then we went to pub for a drink with some friends.
At the point where I finished work I never would have guessed that I had the energy for all of that – so amazing what a Meditation and some deep breathing can do.
