Yesterday our lovely friend Sarah rang to ask me whether there was any chance we could let her dog out for her during the evening. She only lives across the road and Noah and I both love her big dog Birtha so we were delighted to say yes!
We popped over last night and then again this morning because she needed our help again. We fed her, had a little game with her and gave her a few treats. We all had a nice time together. Noah loved it, there was absolutely no way that he was missing out on a trip to see her (even if it was far past his bed time!).
Noah and I were both tired yesterday after a long day but somehow when the call for help came we both became motivated and found some energy to do it.
So often helping someone else out gives you commitment to getting a job done. Whilst you focus on what they need you to do you put aside your own feelings or tiredness or laziness and get to work.
Try doing job for someone else today and see how much more easily it happens. You will be amazed at the effort you put in when you want to do it for a friend. You will also love the feeling your get from your productivity and kindness.
