Meditation is a great way to improve your working day, here’s why you should try it on your lunch break…
1) It provides the perfect break in your day so that when you go back to work you have the energy to give it your all. By allowing your body and mind a short period of time off you give yourself the best chance of reaching the end of the day feeling great rather than frazzled.
2) It resets your mind so that you have the mental capacity to think clearly again. Over time our minds becomes more and more busy with thoughts. When you sit to meditate you allow your thoughts to settle. By doing this every do often you reset your mind, and this way things don’t get on top of you.
3) It reminds you to focus on your posture. During a few hours at your desk it is easy to start to slump in your chair. 4) You get your breathing back to a sustainable level. When we get stressed at work our breath become shallow and this has a negative impact on how we feel. Getting enough oxygen in is essential to performing at your best and to fight off feelings of fatigue.
